Alt/rock legends 10,000 MANIACS bring their alternative/folk rock sounds to Key West Theater for a not-to-miss performance. Formed 45 years ago, the band will celebrate their milestone at the conclusion of their extensive North American tour which began on March 19 and has already traveled to cities including Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. On the road since 1981, this group of unconventional, imaginative and award-winning musicians have been performing music in the americana, pop, rock and avant garde traditions for over 45 years. Promoted by Rams Head Presents, Key West Theater will be overflowing with Maniacs’ huge and dedicated fan base when they visit for what promises to be a standout show of the year in South Florida!

10,000 Maniacs

10,000 Maniacs were one of the key groups in the alternative rock genre that incorporated folk rock into their music. The Jamestown, New York group was organized in 1981. Their music has been enjoyed in live versions of “Because the Night,” “These Are Days,” “Trouble Me,” “Like the Weather,” and “More Than This,” among other songs. With nine studio albums, six EPs and five live albums (including their 2015 studio release Twice Told Tales), the band has sold over 10 million records worldwide and are considered to be one of the top selling alternative bands of their era. Some of their better material is found on In My Tribe and Our Time in Eden, as well as on a haunting MTV Unplugged version that features the group performing in a stripped down yet extremely effective manner, capturing the bond between the band members.

Our historic theater, located in the heart of downtown Key West, is a first class intimate venue for live music. It is only a 278 seat venue offering comfortable, plush general seating on the main floor and a mezzanine level with private balcony seating. The concert venue has two bars, one on each level, as well as a private balcony bar where drinks may be ordered throughout the performance. Parking Information

Please plan to arrive early as there is street parking charge in front of the theater. There are numerous street car parking garages and lots scattered throughout the central part of Key West and they are all within walking distance to our theater. Take advantage of visiting lower and upper Duval Street and the rest of downtown Key West both before and after your theater visit.
